FEATURES

Testing conditions for voltage with power on.

Testing conditions for continuity with power off.

Before use: Check continuity tester operation by touching the metal tip and the second lead probe to each other. If the unit is operating properly the lamp inside the tester will glow. If the lamp does not glow, replace the batteries.

Continuity test: To test for continuity, touch the second lead probe to one end of the circuit or component to be tested and then touch the other end with the metal probe tip. If the circuit is continuous (shorted) then the lamp in the tester will glow. If the lamp does not glow, then the circuit is open.
